Where is the 2019 Classic Fighters Airshow and what time does it start?

The Airshow is being held at Omaka Airfield, 79 Aerodrome Road, Blenheim. Gates open each day at 8.00am. Flying activity starts at 9.30am with the official show opening at 10am.

What happens after I have ordered my tickets?

Once you have ordered a confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Attached will be the tickets for your order. Please print them out and show at the gate at the Airshow.

What if I choose to pay via cheque or direct credit?

Payment must be received within 5 working days or your booking will be cancelled. Direct credit payment can be made direct to our bank account: 020600 0285310 00 with BNZ, Blenheim Branch. (Account name: Classic Fighters Airshow Charitable Trust Inc.)

Your Tickets will be emailed once appropriate payment has been received.

How do I contact Classic Fighters Airshow Ticketing?

What if I lose my ticket?

Most likely you have still got the email with the tickets attached. If not Omaka can re-send tickets. There is a fee of NZ$5 per booking for this service. Additional fees apply for all "Lanyard tickets" e.g. Platinum and/or Gold Pass tickets of NZ$5 per lanyard plus a NZ$4 courier fee per booking.

Is there a discount for students, senior citizens, children or groups?

Student's with ID have discounted admission. Children under 5 are free, if accompanied by an adult. Groups over 20 may be eligible for a discount. Please contact Ticketing on 03 579 1305.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

Gates open each day at 8.00am. Flying activity starts at 9.30am with the official show opening at 10am. Although there is activity throughout the day, the formal Friday night ‘Twilight Extreme’ programme commences at 4pm.

Can I take photos or video footage?

Yes for private use only. Media should apply for a special pass.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are not permitted on the airfield.

What are the parking facilities?

Limited parking is available on grazing land nearby, with access off Aerodrome Road and Wither Road (West). Buses and trains will also be running from various sites around Blenheim town and from Picton, see the Getting There page for details.

Security Policy

Our website uses the industry standard security protocol Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encode sensitive information like your Credit Card number while it passes through the internet. Your personal information is being collected for the purpose of supplying you with Classic Fighters Airshow tickets only and will be held by Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre. It will not be on-sold to any other company or individual.

Conditions of Purchase:

  • Displays may be subject to change without notice.
  • No refunds will be given
  • The organisers reserve the right of refusal of entry to any person and the removal of any person from the airfield and grounds under Classic Fighters Airshow control.
  • All persons attending the show assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, death or property damage.
  • All persons entering the air show grounds may be subject to personal or property checks.
  • No BYO alcohol permitted.
  • No drones are permitted on or within 4 km of the airfield.
  • No dogs are permitted on the airfield.
  • All children, 14 years and under must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their well-being for the duration of the airshow.
  • Photography and film footage may be taken for private use only. Media must apply to the organisers for accreditation.
  • No camping is permitted other than in designated areas, for which a ticket has been issued.
  • Tickets may not be packaged or used for promotional or prize purposes without permission of Classic Fighters Airshow. Breach of this condition could result in non-admittance.
  • Tickets may not be resold for a premium. Breach of this condition could result in non-admittance.
